The Best of Both Worlds

This book shows a whole new mature writing side of Sara. She stepped outside her comfort zone and conquered it. This is a love story between an angel and a werewolf with lots of action we've come to love in Reine's books. I really enjoyed this book. The quality of writing, the descriptions and the emotion that went into certain scenes, really hit me in a good way. You may have come to this book because you've read her other stories, but you'll stay for what this story brings about. Enjoy!

WOW! I am almost speechless when it comes to writing a review for this book afraid I won't be able to do it justice! The more I read this book the more I wanted and the more I watched the progress bar on my Kindle frowning as I know I was getting closer to the end and I NEVER wanted this one to end ! What you really need to do before this one is read Seasons of the Moon: Cain Chronicles series then Seasons of the Moon series then you will be caught up and you will want to be caught up before reading this one but read this one you must! I think out of all of them this was my favorite. Or one of my favorites. ALL of them are awesome and this one lets you know there are more to come. I could read these every day! So much I would like to say but don't want to give anything away... READ THIS BOOK! You won't be disappointed in it or in anything this author writes! I know I haven't been!

This book is a part of a series! I would read "seasons of the moon (4 book series)" first than "Cain chronicles, seasons of the moon (4 book series)" before this book!! It will make sense one you know how the story started!!! It's an awesome book and hey wouldn't want an amazingly hot Angel? I would read this before dark moon and alpha moon. This book kinda starts where the Cain chronicles left off. At first it doesn't seem like it does but it does!!! Here is the reading order for this whole series!!

1 seasons of the moon, the first 4
2 Cain chronicles/seasons of the moon the next 4
3 Of wings and wolves
4 Dark Moon (Cain chronicles/seasons of the moon) one book
5 Alpha Moon (Cain chronicles/seasons of the moon) one book

Alpha Moon is the end of this series but not the end of the story. Rylie and Abel plus the others are in "The Ascension Series" which is a spin off of this series and "The Descent Series". The characters from both series are in the Ascension Series.

Not My Cup of Tea

This was my first Ngaio Marsh novel, and I can't say I was super taken with it. I love Christie and Sayers and such, but something about this just failed to grab me. I didn't care for the sleuth too much, although I kind of enjoyed all the artists. The whole deal where they were trying to get down to the heart of the victim's situation and blackmail. I did guess who it was, so that's a point in its favor.

Enjoyable British mystery

Beware: not all versions of this CD are narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch. I don't know if any are, but mine wasn't. The story is entertaining - a good old British who-done-it. I've listen to it multiple times. It is pretty gruesome but I can't say more without giving away the plot.

1930s Style at Its Best

This novel, which relates the first meeting between Scotland Yard Inspector Roderick Alleyn and the artist Agatha Troy, is both a good mystery and a good picture of what kind of book was popular in the 1930s. After Alleyn and Troy meet on a ship sailing back to England from the South Pacific (and they do not meet well, although he is interested in her), Alleyn is called to investigate a murder at Troy's home conveniently down the road from his mother's. An artist's model has been murdered, and there is literally a cast of suspects who had the motivation to `do her in', including Troy herself. The plot is pretty procedural, although the identity of the murderer is kept hidden for quite awhile. The great thing is the language and style of the novel: slang terms, endearments, and descriptions of people are wonderfully appropriate to the time in which the novel first appeared. The relationship between Alleyn and his mother could not be written `straight' today: the `darlings' and `mammas' would be a joke in the 21st century, especially since Alleyn is not a young man at this point. Troy and Alleyn's misunderstandings, and the rather melodramatic `Epilogue in a Garden' is fun to read and would have played well to the original readers; it's full of dramatic tension and yet a little silly at the same time. Better than most modern mysteries.

Who killed the Admiral?

His young and very beautiful wife, willful stepson, protective maid? A little fluffy, but kept my interest, owing mostly to the time setting... horse and buggy era. A woman as a doctor, egads, what next. Enjoyable.

this was my first book in this series and it wont be my last. It was a interesting look at how women doctors were look on in this era. the mystery kept you quessing till the end.

An Improper Death is a delightful read, and a fitting second book in the Dr. Alexandra Gladstone series. Once again, Ms. Paul proves her mastery both of story telling and of interesting period details that draw her readers to turn page after page, savoring every moment in the story's development. You'll appreciate the subtle humor and keen insight into human relationships the author employs as she leads us through the unfolding solution to the murder. It all becomes clear in the end - the VERY end!

I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

I recommend against using Flash for the videos

The accompanying website does not yet have the problem answers the book says it does. Text-based answers with some discussion would be helpful at least until the videos are ready. I recommend against using Flash for the videos. Indeed, the site should ditch Flash everywhere for html5.

If you have trouble with math or anything else this may help

I suggest you skip parts that do not apply to you as they can be tedious and time-consuming. But the parts that apply can change your life.

If you are not good at math this book will absolutely change your life.

Wow! A book that finally addresses the real issues behind learning math!

As an instructor, I have seen each of the types of students LePoint describes in Mathaphobia. I finally feel like I have a way to address particular learning needs from different students. Thank you so much for writing this book!
As a student, I am eagerly looking forward to applying techniques described in the book for my own obstacles that I face in learning.
As a human striving to be a better person, I am already seeing that obstacles in learning math mirror obstacles in other areas of my life.
LePoint's book is about transforming weaknesses into strengths. She shares how she overcame her own personal hardships in order to show me that I can do the same. Thank you!
