Where to start?! What to say?! As usual, I quickly got sucked into Jenni's book, devoured it in a day and loved every minute of it!

Ella has a secret and Prince Anthony is bound and determined to figure out exactly what that secret is.

Ella and Anthony first meet when they are kids but she had no clue that he was really the prince. He always dressed as a village kid and went by his middle name, Jonathan. After her father dies, her evil stepmother turns her into a servant girl and hides her away from everyone. Years pass and she is completely forgotten. That is until Prince Anthony sees her one day while out running errands with his cousin. He can't figure out why Ella is dressed as and doing the work of a servant girl when her family is one of the richest families in the Kingdom. There is something amiss and he will not stop until he figures it out...

Ella is an amazing heroine who has learned to stay happy, caring and sweet while facing all kinds of adversity inflicted upon her by her stepmother and stepsisters. She has a hard time seeing the person she truly is because for years her "family" has mistreated and abused her making her feel unloved and unwanted.

Anthony is also facing adversity. His father is dying and no one wants to admit it to him. They carry on as if nothing in the world is wrong. Anthony doesn't think he is ready to take over the kingdom, he still has so much to learn, he feels very inadequate and thinks he will never amount to being half the King his father is.

Ella and Anthony are perfect together and really bring out the best in each other. They help each other to see themselves how the other sees them. One of my favorite parts of the story is when Ella shows and tells Anthony what she thinks of him and how wonderful of a man she sees him to be. *sigh* LOVED it!! :o) And the banter between the two of them?! It had me smirking... giggling... laughing out loud at times... it was priceless!! Oh! And lets not forget about the day of the ball!! Anthony really did make it the perfect day for her! I absolutely LOVED the surprise he had for her right before he proposed... *swoon* The man is definitely a keeper!!

I absolutely adored Anthony's mom!! She is amazing and I found myself laughing out loud with little comments she would make. I personally think she would be the perfect mother-in-law!! And Ella's stepsister, Lacey, turned out to be another character that I adored! She was able to see through all the lies her mother had told her and look at Ella for who she truly was... an amazing young woman who did not deserve to be treated the way they had been treating her all those years.

This retelling of Cinderella is by far my favorite! Not only do you get the love story, the friendship, the happiness, the sadness, the HEA but you also get an important message you can incorporate into your life. Never let anything anyone says to you bring you down. Only you can allow a person to have power and control over you and your emotions. Always remember that you are strong; you matter; yes, you are going to fail several times in life but that's okay... just get back up and continue to push forward. You can overcome any adversity life throws your way. :o)

With each author that I read I can always find one book of theirs that is my all time favorite... my go to when I need help getting out of a book slump. I have finally come to the conclusion that with Jenni James... that will never happen! Just when I think I have found the one... my all time favorite... BAM! She releases another book and I become torn! Choosing a favorite of her books is like asking a mom to choose a favorite child or asking a bookaholic to choose one... just ONE book out of the HUNDREDS they have read to be their favorite. You just can't do it! Jenni... you are amazing! Keep those books coming! I can't wait to read the next one! :o)

Wow. I love this book! Jenni James has the amazing ability to take a classic fairy tale, shape it, twist it, and change it, and it still comes out magical as ever. I love that we finally get more depth on the Prince and the playful banter between he and Cinderella made me laugh out loud, while the trials that Cinderella endures made me cry. This heroine is a kind, loving, good-hearted woman, but feisty with a quick wit. Cinderella is a fantastic fairy tale to begin with and Jenni James only improved it. I highly recommend this (and anything else Jenni James writes) to anyone who loves a fairy tale.

Charming Cinderella Retelling

Like all of Jenni James’s stories, this is a charming retelling of the classic, with a little bit of sass added. Ella is definitely the traditional ‘Cinderella’ character, working without complaint and putting up with her step-family’s meanness, but she’s got some twists that I love. She’s a no-nonsense, strong woman who has no problem standing up to the new boy who comes around distracting her from her work. Now Anthony is definitely not your typical Prince Charming. He has no trouble disguising himself as a servant to do some sleuthing. I love the interaction between the two. Unlike most Cinderella stories, these two have a history, playing as kids together even before they meet back up. Of course, it’s so nice watching them develop an actual friendship and relationship before the ball. Now I think my favorite change was with the step-sister, Lacey. She’s a little full-of-herself, but doesn’t have the traditional animosity towards Ella, and you almost feel as sorry for her as you do Ella. I love the little changes to the classic story, including who the ‘fairy godmother’ turns out to be. This is definitely a Cinderella retelling that’s not to be missed.

General George Custer was certainly one of these "household" names that have been so often written about. But little has been written about his cook, Eliza Brown, who in her own way, was as courageous under fire as he was. Her story illustrates the courageous women on both sides of the conflict, who were able, despite the roadblocks erected in their way----as women have been able throughout history----to find their way around male-devised obstructionist rules and make their meaningful contribution to the war effort.

Their courage and tenacity was demonstrated both behind the scenes and on countless battlefields during the course of the war. A Swashbuckling Pirate Adventure

Sea Witch is a swashbuckler historical fiction tale set in the 1700's around Captain Jesamiah Acorne. He's a notorious pirate who sails the seas around the Caribbean, Southern US states and across to Cape Town in South Africa.

This is a time of Dutch East Indian trade-boats, Spanish galleons laden with Mexican treasure, English traders and privateers. Ships took months to cross the oceans, explorers where sailing around the world and opportunities to become rich were often at the mercy of the sea.

Beneath the seas lives Tethys a spiritual being from the beginning of the world, she sees all, knows all about the oceans, she can whip up a storm and take down a ship at will claiming the lives of all those aboard. Disturbed from above by the annoying sounds of cannon fire Tethys investigates and becomes aware of a man with a golden acorn hanging from his ear, she understands the connection to an ancient tree and likes what she sees. There is also another being with a gift who nudges at the outer periphery of her existence.

Tiola Oldstagh is travelling from England to Cape Town with her guardian, when they are attacked by pirates. Unsuccessful this time Tiola gets her first glimpse of a man who destiny will bring to her again. At just fifteen Tiola is wise beyond her years with her skills in the use of "craft" she'll go to great lengths to be with the one her soul desires.

It's been years since I read any pirate adventures and this one did not disappoint, it brought all the atmosphere of the great wooden ships, creaking into the rolling oceans, sails flapping in the winds. Dangers of the open seas and the realistic harbour-side towns which sprang up to meet the needs of the ocean going sailors. I look forward to reading the next adventure for Captain Jesamiah Acorne.

A unique steamy erotica romance!

SECOND CHANCES, by D. L. Roan, WOW, if this is her first book, I can't wait for the next one! This story was full of mystery, love, passion and the twist and turns kept it going. When I first read the preview, I reread it thinking, surely I read that wrong. I am so glad I downloaded and read this unique love story. This is one I will read again! Sizzling Hot Romance! **WARNING** If you are offended by erotica romance, then this book is not for you. The scenes include multiple partners, including ménage à trois and ménage à quatre, but then that is part of the overall story. It isn't just sex, it is a much deeper committed loving relationship.

A sexy, suspenseful, hopeful romance: 3 hearts beat for 1, forever

"Don't try to undo one mistake by making another."

The MacLendons--for at least two generations now--choose an alternative lifestyle that works for them. One wife. Three husbands (who are brothers). Plenty of parents to go around. It's a backward presentation of polygamy (which was never mentioned in the book). Children who are dearly loved, wanted, and cherished. Better than most 'normal' families can offer.

When the MacLendon brothers meet Claira they individually and collectively fall hard. She's what's missing from their home and hearts and family ever since the untimely death of their wife six years ago when their twin sons were born. And all 3 widowers are in different stages of grieving and healing. Claira hasn't had, out of necessity, a loving long-term relationship. Her reaction to three gorgeous, sexy cowboys all intent on making her theirs seemed spot on.

Some editing mistakes that snagged my reading ('live' when 'life' is correct, periods that should have been question marks), but overall quite cleanly edited and a smooth read (except for excessive exclamation points). The story presents fun twists, surprises, and "whoa, I didn't see that one coming" moments--for the characters as well as for me reading it. This sexy read had me believing that three brothers (with one very strong alpha: Grey) could actually share a wife and love doing so. Each of the 3 brothers had a very different personality and way of speaking as well as a way of loving Claira.

What I loved MOST about this sexy read is that it had lots of story around the sex. Real conflict. Deadly challenges. Reasons why the 4 of them couldn't just ride off into the sunset together. Plenty of scenes that weren't about one or more brothers wanting to get Claira naked.

Shared lust. Shared love. Shared healing.

The story of Claira coming into the lives of the three McLendon brothers is glorious. From the first scene, you're hooked. She's hooked. He's hooked. Two more to follow before her first school week is over. Oodles of delectable romantic and sexual tension keep the reader in anticipatory heaven. Surprising, shocking entanglements and events draw all the characters into a malestrom of lust that cannot be denied. Sex must be had. Love and destiny must be acknowledged. But a foursome?

Heart of Falcon Ridge is a 5 star novel I'm so glad Amazon Kindle brought to my attention. At first, I just expected to be tittilated by the antics of Claira and Matt and Mason and Grey - I'd never read that twist before! Instead, I found a complex plot worthy of any type of novel, a host of beautifully defined characters I didn't want to leave behind, and a feeling that I was witnessing real love and devotion blossom. Maybe a MFMM foursome could really work.

Oooh, I wish those steamy McLendon brothers were real. I would be so content with just one of them!

This book was previously published in 1985 and at least the publishers did not change the title making it look like a totally new offering as on many other books re-issued lately have been. I've read most (if not all) of the Jayne Ann Krentz books and this one, although not one of my favorites, is probably worth reading if you're a big fan of her books.

This is a reissue in hard back of an old book

This is an early book made to look like a new book. The publisher is making a bad habit of doing a reissue in hard back of her books which were originally paperbacks. I can't believe she needs the money so the publishers must be hard up. Be sure to check the original publication dates before you order.

to be honest, i hated this book. i could barely finish it... i hated conn - he was a jerk. and honor wasn't very bright, and her sister was worse, my god! for once, can we get a sister/friend/etc who doesn't betray her friend/sister/etc by telling the man where she went... i know my friends would NEVER tell an ex or a guy i was fighting with where i was if i didn't want them to know...

also, conn was practically abusive and then honor feels sorry for him! get a life - i don't care how bad a day he has had, that doesn't give him the right to attack you...

regardless, find another book; maybe one of her newer books, b/c they are pretty good, but skip this one

The best kid's books are the one's adults love sharing with them.

This is such a cool little book. I love the riddles and rhymes and the pictures are simple and iconic. On my first read-through I rushed to the answers, to see if I was right (which was pretty childish really).
This book will speak for itself.

Fun for the children, but incredibly short. Would have liked to had more riddles to enjoy. Worth the price of free. Had we paid retail, would have been large disappointment.

A very short read.

this book had two chapters in it. a chapter about fruits and nuts. it a nice riddle about gusse what I am, but very short. I did get it for free, I was just expected more.
