A source of our democracy

I wanted to read Locke because he had been credited with influencing Jefferson, Madison, and others in our Declaration and Constitution. For 17th century writing this work is remarkably easy to read. It's rich with thought that is as meaningful today as it was in the late 18th century. You can find other, indeed scholarly, comments on Locke, and you don't need mine, that of a non scholar non lawyer non politician, just citizen. But I am sure you'd be better reading Locke than reading about him.
