About the Author
Ed writes whatever he gets a kick out of. Mostly, that involves robots, magic, and the end of the world. His works include the post-apocalyptic Breakers series and the epic fantasy trilogy the Cycle of Arawn. A graduate of NYU's fiction program, his short stories have appeared in a couple dozen magazines. He has lived places and owned pets.
Ray Chase graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in theater and a minor in cinema and television. He has since worked extensively as a voice-over artist. Among his dozens of audiobook narrations are Ian Douglas Heritage trilogy and Robert Olen Butler s Christopher Marlowe Cobb thrillers.

Another great read in the Breakers series

Reading Edward Robertson's Breakers series is like having a handbook for the apocalypse, whether it be alien or zombie or humankind's own sheer stupidity. His characters are interesting, just normal people who are required to do abnormal things in order to survive. I'm not a writer, and it's not easy for me to find the right words to praise a novel. The best I can do is say that I will buy any book this author writes, and then I will wait eagerly for the next installment. Since I live in Taiwan, sometimes I have to pay more for Amazon's Kindle "deals" but it doesn't matter, because it's definitely worth the price.

This was great!

I really liked this story. It had the usual editing mistakes common to the format but lately I have seen a lot of that in print as well. The characters were flawed but interesting and the various truths from each perspective were nicely woven into a twisted reality of human motives. It was also not weighed down by an attempt to be sexually shocking or titilating leaving the story to speak without distraction. Over all I found it hard to put down wanting to see how things would unwind. Like so many I was sorry when it was done.

another Breakers novel and it was a very good read!

This story continues the theme of the series...humanity practically wiped out by a virus brought by aliens and so they struggle to survive. There are aliens shaped like crabs, groups of people battling each other and a few main characters who survive and are part of the solution. One is quite young, another experienced but reluctant to get involved and others who are part of the story. It is a fast read and also quite enjoyable. The question is...how does life after an apocalypse survive and go on when all of civilization is down. Who do you trust? Who are just using you? Who have the skills? Who seek to rule and who seek to be left alone. This is my third book I've read so far in the series and I'll continue reading more.
