Interesting inside story

How fascinating to read of budding entrepreneurs from the perspective of a landlady. This would have been a four or five star book in my opinion if it were not for too many personal details about the author. Frankly, who cares about her and her family's background (and achievements and money) when the book is supposed to be about the relationship of the author to the founder(s) of Facebook. Way too many personal family tales and bragging about their achievements. Do we really want to read about her daughter's achievements when they are not in any way related to the story? Way too much bragging. The inside look at the workings of a start-up company in Silicon Valley was to me interesting as I was there, did that, etc. Otherwise a good read about the Facebook phenomena.

Interesting personal stories about Facebook's genesis that counter "The Social Network's" scathing tone

For those who have seen the "Social Network" film, this book represents a more intimate view of "Thefacebook's" humble beginnings, from the perspective of a Silicon Valley landlady. While the "Social Network" biopic portrays Zuckerberg in a brutally negative light, as a heartless plagiarizing nerd-gone-wild, "Facebook House" sets a gentler tone with its stories, even hinting at some flattering parallels between the young Steve Jobs and Zuckerberg in his overwhelming intensity, drive, and even a touch of the persuasive "reality distortion field" they may have shared.

Interesting Book

I enjoyed learning about the early days of Facebook through this well written book. I was fascinated by some of the back story and encounters that also gave me more insight to Mark Z and his team.
